In December of 2002 I decided to start a band with my brother Sam and my best friend, Ian McDuffie. The thing was Ian lived in New Mexico while we lived in California, but that didn’t stop us from recording an entire album by swapping tracks over the internet. I wrote half the songs and played piano, Ian wrote the other half and played guitar, and my brother drummed on every track. The album, “Band in Limbo,” was recorded between 2003 and 2005 and mixed/mastered at my house from 2005 to 2007. In anticipation of the album, Zoë Moss completed the album art (way back) in 2003. Needless to say it was a labor of love, and although none of us really knew what we were doing we are all proud of the effort. Since then Droog has ended though each of us have gone on to pursue our own musical endeavors: Ian is “Violet Mice,” Sam plays with “Teen Fiction” and everything I’m doing you can find on here.
